Preview of Complimentary VT for CCAR Members
Courtesy of the CCAR Press, members of the Conference have access to a complimentary Visual T'filah that is available for use in synagogue services. This video is a preview of that service.
(The actual service can be run through PowerPoint, Keynote, or a DVD player. Unlike this video preview which runs continuously from one prayer to the next, during a typical VT the service will pause on each prayer until advanced by the leader or visual accompanist.)
To request a DVD or to customize the service contact: visualtfilah@gmail.com.
NOTE: There is NO audio; it is to be provided live during the service by the service leader, cantor, song leader, etc.
Notes on DVD use
A number of different file formats are included on the DVD. Try experimenting to see which one works the best for your computer set-up. Please make sure to update all of your software for best results.
The empty slide between Oseh Shalom and Aleinu is intended to be displayed during the sermon or d’var Torah.
Video backgrounds (including the Silent Prayer visual niggun) will loop continuously until you are ready to advance. (This applies to Keynote and PowerPoint files, not when playing in a DVD player.)
If copying a PowerPoint file to your computer, be sure to copy the whole folder in which it is found.
The DVD will only work in DVD players that can read DVD-R (i.e. burned DVDs).
To run the DVD on a computer, as a DVD video, you may have to open the DVD Player program first. From within the program, open or select the "Video_TS" folder.
